The Tour de France isn't only the peloton, it's the roadside that turns a bike race into a party, and on Bastille Day the whole of France comes out to celebrate. Day 11 pulls over to meet the fans who make the Tour de France what it is, from the camper vans to the costumes to the families who make the same pilgrimage year after year. Chief of Sports Zak Dempster sets out the plan before we hand the mic to the people who line the climbs and never stop cheering. Stage 10: The first day after the rest day pointed straight uphill, with 3,800m of climbing crammed into the road from Aurillac to Le Lioran. The attacks came early, a breakaway went clear, and the GC battle caught fire on the final climbs as the favourites marked each other all the way to the line. Remco Evenepoel held firm at the sharp end to sit 2nd overall, with Florian Lipowitz right alongside him in 4th.
